IT Help Desk Analyst – #6136 – A
Township of West Lincoln
The Township of West Lincoln is looking to hire a part time IT Help Desk Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the IT Help Desk Analyst will be the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance for a variety of hardware/software and other technical issues. This position is part time working 24 hours per week.
- Providing first level support to staff dealing with workstations, server, and corporate application issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software issues and telephone issues including VOIP and Cellular
- Repair hardware/software issues
- Provide and maintain anti-virus protection to servers and desktops
- Provide and maintain backups to all servers and desktop computers
- Maintain and update computer/network/telephone inventory
- Maintain and install computer software and updates for all computers
- Provide staff training on systems
- Manage software deployments and planning
- Roll-out of new hardware including imaging, deployment and individual customization
- Provide IT Support during Council/Committee meetings including set up and assistance of audio/video presentations
- Provide maintenance of Township website
- Provide vacation relief for Manager, Information Technology
- College Diploma in Network Administration or similar field
- Minimum one year desktop support or help desk experience
- Municipal experience is an asset
- Strong communication skills and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and outside of normal business hours
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, VOIP Phone Administration, and website support
- Knowledge of Barracuda appliances is an asset
- Fundamental understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
- A valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
