The Township of West Lincoln is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the contract position of Supervisor of Facilities & Parks.

Duties:

Under the guidance of the Manager of Parks, Recreation & Facilities, the Supervisor of Facilities & Parks is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Parks and Recreation service area, and other municipal facilities as assigned, ensuring facilities and open spaces are operated in a safe efficient manner, monitor the performance of staff, provide direction on proper use of equipment and safety procedures at various sites and facilities.

The Supervisor supports the Manager with overall planning, prioritizing and implementing of programs, special events, scheduling, as well as budgeting and asset management within the portfolio.

In addition, the Supervisor of Facilities & Parks will supervise facilities and parks staff, outside contractors, oversee health and safety policies and procedures, perform day to day cemetery operations, and will resolve customer enquiries.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a college diploma in recreation or equivalent. Certifications are ideal in Ice Technician (CIT), Grounds Technician (CGT), Building Technician and having acquired a recognized Cemetery training.

The preferred candidate will have minimum 5 years’ experience in a municipal parks and facility environment. Sound knowledge of electrical, plumbing and building maintenance is considered an asset.

This is a contract full-time position working 40 hours per week, ending on February 1, 2025. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm.
