The Builder is responsible for assembling a Truss to spec as per provided drawings. The Builder must have the ability to effectively communicate with fellow Builders to ensure the superior quality of finished products and demonstrate efficient work habits. The Builder is expected to understand and adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves and all those involved.
Production:
- Properly handles all material while checking for quality and defects
- Ensures product is manufactured to precise specifications
- Reads and interprets relevant documentation for production
- Carries out proper safety and cleaning protocol on production lines, machinery and equipment
- Accurately sets up equipment for next production run
- Completes machinery and equipment inspections
- Calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy
Forklift Operation:
- Takes forklift operator course and obtains forklift operator certification
- Completes circle checks and inspections
- Effectively moves and organizes WIP material based on production schedule
- Offloads products from vendor trucks
- Loads trusses on trailers for delivery
Business Objectives:
- Works together with the Plant team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provides ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement
- Protects and support the business, customers and fellow bystanders by completing legally required circle checks, exercising proper loading and securing techniques and the wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment
- Sustains yard and shop cleanliness and required maintenance
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Interest in the construction industry
- Experience or knowledge with related products and services an asset
- Forklift experience an asset

Physical Requirements:
- Minimum lift requirements of 66 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
