The Driver position is a very physical position. It requires loading & unloading of product as well as assisting in the yard.

Duties:
  • Ensures error free delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for fleet maintenance (circle checks, fueling and WET service)
  • Practices proper load safety and securement (banding, strapping, weight and placement)
  • Demonstrates efficient route planning
  • Demonstrates proper unloading procedures
  • Understands Highway Traffic Act and follows procedures on scales and truck routes
  • Follows accident procedures (communication and documentation)
  • Maintains appropriate logs for mileage, fuel consumption and road hours
Requirements:

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • G licence with 3+ years of RECENT commercial G driving experience
  • General interest in the construction industry
  • Experience or knowledge with related products and services
  • Vocational training is an asset
  • Experience of construction industry is an asset
  • Load building, securing and dumping experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to lift heavy material/objects
  • Ability to work in outdoors in all weather conditions
