Location: Umbrella Family at Winona Child Centre

Hours of work: Up to 26 hours/week, Monday to Friday (7-9am, 3-6pm)

Start Date: Immediately

Positions:

1 RECE Before & After position – $20.04 per hour
1 RECE After position – $20.04 per hour
1 School Age After School Director position – $19.54 per hour

Duties:

As a Before & After School Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Program Development - establish goals, plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate experiences to enhance children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development in accordance with Ministry of Education's How Does Learning Happen?
  • Provide support to child with developmental disabilities
  • Maintain a safe, warm and caring environment in which a high quality child care program can operate
  • Maintain professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR Diploma in a related field and minimum 1 year experience working directly with children
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and proof of up to date immunizations for TB, Tetanus and MMR is required
  • Standard First Aid with CPR level C is required
  • Demonstrated awareness and knowledge of How Does Learning Happen is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, flexible environment with minimal supervision
