Up Cannabis is a federally licensed producer of medical cannabis with an operational facility in Brantford, Ontario and a new facility currently under construction in Beamsville, Ontario. Up is wholly owned by Newstrike Resources, which is a publicly traded company on the TSXV and trades under the ticker symbol “HIP”.
Duties:
- Responsible for following SOP's and all instructions related to the production facility
- Efficiently trims and defoliates plants (wet trim);
- Responsible for accurately weighing and recording all wet trim material;
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in order to improve and promote quality;
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the facility while performing trimmings;
- Required to assist with harvesting crops;
- Responsible for maintaining quality product;
- Perform cleaning in various capacities;
- Physical requirements necessary to the position including standing for long periods of time, lifting of 25lbs, and exposure to high heat and humidity;
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Additional job duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, some post-secondary preferred
- Clean police background check
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, intuition and leadership
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous WHMIS training an asset
- Previous agriculture, greenhouse experience an asset
- Exterminator Licence an asset
