A local variety store is looking to hire a mature Cashier/Store Clerk.
This position offers part time hours that may lead to full time. Hours of work will vary as the store is open 7 days per week.
Duties:
- Greet and assist Customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Process cash, debit and credit card transactions
- Answer Customer inquiries regarding products and services offered
- Stock and maintain stock levels on shelves and in coolers
- Sell and process lottery tickets and tobacco products
- Operate postal outlet within the store
- Sanitize, clean and maintain work area on a consistent basis
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Flexible in availability to work all shifts (Weekends are a must with availability to open and/or close; the store hours are currently 6am - 11pm)
- Smart Serve Certificate
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Previous cash handling and Lottery experience an asset
