The Accountant will report to the CFO and is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking and Petty Cash, Statutory Returns and Monthly reporting.
This is a dynamic position with room to grow and advance. We are looking for a person that will dive into the position, and work with the CFO and our team to grow a high performing accounting department.

- Manage the day-to-day invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Process biweekly payroll and associated government filings
- Monthly reconciliations of key accounts
- Work with the CFO to prepare annual budgets and incorporating the budget into QuickBooks
- Ensure that all financial records are accurate and timely for fiscal year-end Review
- Assist with office projects from time to time – providing specific bookkeeping support, research and report writing etc.
- Set up new Accounts Payable venders and maintain Accounts Payable vender data base.
- Interact with vendors as required to verify that invoices and purchase orders are matching
- Analyzing and investigating balances outstanding, over/underpayments and taxes
- Ability to take on new responsibilities as needed
- Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Approximately 3-5 years proven accounting experience
- Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise software, Excel and Microsoft office
- Strong analytical skills, work ethic and problem solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work well with others both internal and external.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to write reports and procedures from scratch.
- Data entry skills together with hands on experience of spreadsheets software
- Self-directed with an ability to learn a systematic approach to accounting and to follow the approach without direction to maintain the integrity of the financial data
- Reliable and flexible individual
