Warner Farms

Warner’s Farm located in Beamsville is currently seeking student Farm Labourers to assist on fruit farm. This position offers 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, including weekends with variable hours and opportunity for additional hours. There are 4 positions available.

Duties:
  • Assist farmer with several farming tasks
  • Inventory control
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Preparation of orders and quality control
  • Drive and safely operate farm equipment
  • Set up and maintain irrigation
  • Tree planting, thinning, harvest, loading/unloading fruit
  • Weed control and orchard maintenance
Requirements:
  • Must be a registered full time student during the preceding academic year and intending to return to full time school for the next school year
  • Must be between the ages of 15 and 29
  • Reliable transportation to get to farm
  • Class G Driver's licence
  • Previous farming experience, an asset, but not required
  • Physically capable of performing farm labour
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Motivated and willing to learn
  • Health & Safety awareness training, an asset
  • WHMIS training, an asset
